Hello I’m Chelsea, one of the Vet Assistants. Outside of work you can find me out playing fetch with my dogs or exploring the valley. I look forward to meeting you and your pets at the clinic! Chelsea is Low Stress Handling certified and has done over 80 hours of Veterinary Team training.
Ana
Vet Assistant
Ana is an internationally trained veterinarian and animal scientist with a special interest in poultry. She and her family moved to the area from Alberta to build their small homestead and live closer to nature. She enjoys the outdoors and loves hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. In her quiet time she plays the cello or reads. Ana can also serve you in Spanish.
Amelie
Reception
Amelie has always sought a more rural lifestyle and was blessed to discover Nakusp while home hunting throughout the province. She settled in the area with her partner in August 2024. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, archery, and kayaking. Amelie can also serve you in French.
Crystal
Reception
Crystal is a receptionist here at the clinic. Looking to make a lifestyle change and embrace the slower pace of the Kootenays, she moved to Nakusp from Alberta with her husband, son and tabby cat named Jake, in June 2024. Besides having a fond love for animals, she enjoys travelling, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, reading and treasure hunting on the nearby beaches.

Hana
Vet Assistant
Hana is one of the Vet Assistants, originally from the Czech Republic. Her and her fluffy companion name Stevie love adventuring and enjoying their time off work in nature. Besides working at our little vet clinic, Hana also dedicates her life to dogsledding. She is an animal lover and dogs are her favorite. As a dogsledding guide she has been handling for multiple mushers in her career and gaining more and more experience about dog care and hard work. She enjoys travelling, camping, singing and playing guitar.
